The Role

A commercially focused role emphasising Identity and Verification tools and capabilities in the greater context of credit risk decisioning with active market development responsibilities across Central and Eastern Europe. Beyond generating and managing a broad pipeline of opportunities in KYC/Identity/Verification solutions and other partnership initiatives, this role also carries a specific strategic mandate — supporting the development of a new full-service credit bureau in Malta – a greenfield initiative involving multi-sector data contributors including banks, telecoms, retailers, and leasing companies. The role requires someone who understands how credit infrastructure works and is built, not just how it is sold.

About The Team

You will be joining a specialist team of five professionals, each bringing 15 or more years of experience in credit risk, information services, and financial technology. This is a high-expertise environment where mid-level hires are expected to contribute meaningfully from the outset and will benefit from deep mentorship and exposure across complex, multi-market engagements.

What You’ll Be Doing

Market & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across banks, credit bureaus, leasing and financial companies, fintechs, and telecom operators in CEE markets, particularly as it concerns
  • As business development efforts around Identity/KYC solutions will inevitably cross paths with general decisioning and consultancy support, the role should support the overall team in other sales activities namely around promoting and positioning decisioning platforms, data orchestration engines, and workflow automation solutions.
  • Co-own and drive all efforts around our “Malta 3.0” initiative – a full-fledged greenfield credit bureau in Malta.
  • Complement and support the team members in their partnership relationships and continued business development activities with several of the leading independent credit bureaus in the region
  • Analyze market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive offerings to shape commercial strategy and go-to-market plans.

Sales Leadership & Account Expansion

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with CROs, CIOs, CDOs, and Heads of Credit Risk, Fraud, Data, and Digital Transformation.
  • Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with Creditinfo subsidiaries and global partners.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, including solution scoping, value proposition development, and contract negotiation.
  • Create ROI models and business cases that quantify the impact of decisioning automation, data enrichment, and workflow optimization.
  • Manage pipelines, forecasting, and performance KPIs through CRM systems.

Malta Credit Bureau Initiative

  • Act as a key commercial contributor to the establishment of a new full-service credit bureau in Malta, covering financial institutions, telecoms, retailers, and leasing companies.
  • Support stakeholder engagement with prospective data contributors, regulators, and relevant government bodies, helping to lead efforts to sign commercial contracts with the relevant participant institutions.
  • Contribute to the design of data governance frameworks, contributor onboarding models, and commercial structures in collaboration with internal specialists.

Solution Consulting & Technical Enablement

  • Understand client decisioning workflows across credit scoring, onboarding, fraud checks, and customer lifecycle management, and identify optimization opportunities – largely with an emphasis to the KYC and Identity aspects.
  • Translate technical capabilities — rule engines, decision flows, API orchestration, data enrichment, and machine learning integration — into clear and compelling business value.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure solutions meet client requirements and integrate effectively with existing infrastructure.

Partnership & Ecosystem Development

  • Build and manage partnerships with credit bureaus, data providers, identity verification vendors, system integrators, and FinTech / Reg-Tech platforms.
  • Develop joint value propositions and co-selling strategies with partners.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and partner forums.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Provide insights on customer needs, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies in decisioning and data orchestration.
  • Deliver structured feedback to product teams to influence roadmap priorities.

What We’re Looking For

5–10 years in business development, solution consulting, or a commercial role within credit risk technology, decisioning platforms, data services, or a credit bureau environment. Experience on the vendor, bureau, or consultancy side is preferred. Exposure to CEE markets or smaller, developing credit markets is a meaningful advantage.

Industry & Regulatory Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of consumer and/or commercial credit risk, decisioning processes, and bureau operations across financial services and telecom.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks affecting credit risk, onboarding, and data usage including KYC, AML, GDPR, and consumer lending regulations.
  • Familiarity with multi-sector credit data contribution models and the regulatory considerations around credit reporting.

Technical & Product Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of decision engines, rule-based systems, data orchestration and API integration, workflow automation, credit scoring and risk models, data enrichment, and machine learning-enabled decisioning.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both business and technical stakeholders.

Commercial Skills

  • Proven B2B enterprise sales or business development track record with experience managing complex buying environments and long sales cycles.
  • Skilled in value-based selling, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation.
  • Experience building and managing strategic partnerships with data providers and technology vendors.

What You Bring

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
  • High resilience, adaptability, and self-motivation in an independent contributor role.
  • Excellent presentation, storytelling, and persuasion skills.
  • Passion for data-driven innovation, automation, and the development of credit infrastructure in emerging and frontier markets.
